"Rules of Engagement" - Conclusion

Conclusion
Being aware of Satan’s tactics and avoiding spiritual consequences requires obedience to God’s Word.  We are to serve God according to His standards and NOT by how we feel that we should serve Him.  The standard has been set. In order to begin to live according to His Word, we must exclude certain activities and affiliations from our lives.  Activities such as: reading horoscopes and/or palm reading, playing with Ouija boards, using tarot cards, using astrology, astral projection, consulting psychics, practicing Transcendental Meditation or Yoga, going under hypnosis, and using occult symbols (six point star, five point star, broken cross or peace symbol, Eye of Providence or all seeing eye, yin-yang and the ankh).  All of these activities and symbols are deeply rooted in the occult and are an abomination to God.  The affiliations that we need to avoid include: Freemasonry, Greek fraternities and sororities and other secret societies. These affiliations WILL interfere with the relationship that we desire to have with God. Following God’s instructions by TOTALLY avoiding connections or yoking with these groups will aid in preserving our salvation.

Ephesians 5:8-14
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.  And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.  For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.  But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.  Therefore He says:  “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.”

James 1:13-15
Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.  Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
